We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of HR to lead and shape the people agenda across our Ireland business. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving HR strategy, strengthening organisational culture, and ensuring best-in-class people practices aligned with business objectives.
This position supersedes the previous HR Business Partner role and represents a significant step forward-from operational HR support to strategic, organisation-wide HR leadership.
The Head of HR will lead all aspects of HR strategy, employee relations, talent management, succession planning, and organisational culture. Working closely with local directors and the wider UK HR team, the successful candidate will ensure HR practices align with organisational goals, mitigate risk, and enhance employee engagement and development.
Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives, including employee engagement, workforce planning, talent development, compensation, and culture initiatives
Act as a trusted advisor, coach, and mentor to senior leadership, providing strategic HR and organisational development guidance
Lead complex employee relations cases and investigations, including disciplinary processes, grievance management, and litigation support
Oversee performance management, career development, succession planning, and talent strategy across the organisation
Ensure cross-border HR consistency and compliance with Irish and UK employment legislation
Proactively manage legal and reputational risk
Drive organisation-wide HR initiatives, policy implementation, and continuous process improvements
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to HR team members
Utilise HR data and analytics to identify trends, anticipate risks, and recommend proactive solutions
Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the payroll function within the Ireland business
Extensive experience in senior HR leadership roles within complex, multi-site organisations
Strong expertise in employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary procedures, and legal compliance
Proven track record in strategic HR planning, talent management, succession planning, and organisational development
Exceptional communication, leadership, and influencing skills, with experience coaching senior stakeholders
In-depth knowledge of Irish and UK employment legislation and cross-border HR practices
Demonstrated ability to use HR analytics to drive organisational improvements and mitigate risk
Experience leading HR teams, driving culture initiatives, and implementing organisation-wide HR processes
Education qualification (CIPD / Master’s in a related field) or equivalent experience
